Our Work
Family Support Program
At Naya Paila, we believe that preventing human trafficking begins with strengthening families. Many families in vulnerable communities face severe economic pressure, which can lead them to send their young minor daughters to work outside the home for very small amounts of money, often placing them at high risk of exploitation and trafficking.
Our Family Support Program focuses on supporting families who are at risk of sending their daughters away for work, as well as families whose daughters are currently living in shelter homes and are the main breadwinners for the household.
We support families through a combination of little financial assistance, regular home visits, and individual and family counselling. Counselling plays a key role in helping families cope with stress, understand the risks of trafficking, strengthen family decision-making, and explore safer and more sustainable livelihood options.
By addressing both economic and emotional challenges, Naya Paila aims to protect girls, enable them to continue their education, and reduce the pressures that lead to unsafe migration or work. Our goal is to create long-term, sustainable change by supporting families as a whole and breaking cycles of vulnerability.
